​Lumby Air Races Starts The First Sunday in June

The Lumby Air Races a FUN filled social event held each year by the Lumby Air Force in conjunction with Lumby Days. The Lumby Days theme this year is Flower Power!! So lets all get into the GROOVE : ) Prizes for best dressed Flower Power People at the Sat eve. celebration.
The format is a closed circuit triangle racing around the town and region of Lumby B.C., Canada.
This is an International event and is open to Hang Glider and Paraglider Pilots. Minimum experience - Intermediate Rating.

Registration 8 AM Sunday at the Freedom Flight Park. Pilots meetings are held daily at the hanger 9AM sharp. Landings will be at the Freedom Flight Park, just 1 mile north of the village of Lumby B.C. on the Mabel Lake Road. Late starts for pilots who cant make it Friday morning will be allowed on Saturday.   

 GPS will be used for scoring.

HPAC insurance mandatory and available at registration if necessary.

  • Lumby Air Races Racing.... Multiple laps...10k and 25k F.A.I. Triangles around the Lumby Community.
  • All qualifying 10k, 25k, 50k and 100k F.A.I. triangle flights will be eligible for the season long triangle race prizes. (last year the 100k and 50k prizes were won on the day after the Lumby Air Races finished so plan on coming early and staying late if possible.
